With plans to demolish an old toilet block at Ardrossan South Beach and rebuild a café and community hub on the promenade, they needed a hot water solution to work with the air source heat pump…enter the ECOflow heat pump cylinder.

This specific unit included a 3m sq heat pump coil, and was supplied with all the components to install the unit including 28mm PRV @ 2.1 bar, 28mm In-Line check valve, 22mm relief valves & tundish, a high limit stat, 3kw immersion heater, 12 litre expansion vessel, flow through valve.
Ardrossan is a historic port town boasting sandy beaches with beautiful views over the Firth of Clyde. It lies on the north side of Irvine Bay between Irvine and Largs, on the north Ayrshire coast. The new “Hub on the Prom” comprises of a café, toilets, including a changing places toilet which is specifically designed to meet the needs of people with complex care needs; and a service area for the developments trusts activities on the promenade.
