It started as a team-building day.
It ended with chocolate Wispas, a few competitive streaks coming to light, and some surprisingly impressive aim.
We recently headed to Cluny Activities for a day away from the usual office and factory routine, bringing everyone together for a bit of fun, some friendly competition and a chance to spend time with colleagues outside of work.
And with archery, mini golf, the driving range and clay pigeon shooting on the agenda, there was plenty of opportunity to find out who had a hidden talent!
So, who were the winners?
As it turns out, there were some definite standouts.
Tiff took the top spot in archery, showing some seriously good aim.
Mark and Jamie came out on top in mini golf, while Stuart proved he knows his way around the driving range.
Then came the clay pigeon shooting, where Mike, Stuart, Tiff and Scott all put in impressive performances to take the win.
We’re not saying there was a competitive atmosphere…
But let’s just say everyone was keeping a close eye on the scores!
And, because every competition needs a prize, our winners walked away with some well-earned chocolate Wispas.
More than just a day out
For us, days like this aren’t really about who can hit the most targets or get the lowest score.
With our team split between the office and factory, everyone has their own role and their own part to play in keeping MWS moving. That means it’s not always possible to stop and have a chat with someone you wouldn’t normally work alongside.
A day like this changes that.
People who might usually only see each other in passing were suddenly on the same mini golf course, standing next to each other at the driving range or cheering someone on at the archery.
And that’s when you get those conversations, laughs and moments that you don’t necessarily get during a normal working day.
The best part?
Everyone got involved.
There were some impressive skills, some not-so-impressive attempts, plenty of laughs and, naturally, a healthy amount of competition.
But that’s what made the day.
A big thank you to everyone who came along, got involved and helped make it such a memorable one.
And congratulations to our winners… enjoy those Wispas. You earned them!
