What is a bespoke cylinder?
A bespoke cylinder can be designed to suit the space available, where a ‘standard’ product will not fit. Therefore bespoke models can be tall slimline design, short wide design or even a horizontal configuration.
It may be that the installer requires the tapping positions adjusting to suit either a replacement or even designed to accommodate additional heat sources.
What benefits does a bespoke cylinder or tank provide?
A bespoke cylinder or tank can provide benefits both to the homeowner and installer.
From a homeowners perspective, the space available for the installation may be restricted, and standard products will not fit into the required location. This has become more apparent in recent years where properties had previously switched to combination boilers and utilised the original cylinder cupboard. However, with a cylinder now being required to maximise renewable heat sources, other locations may be required, including loft spaces. Having a bespoke designed cylinder provides the solution for the homeowner to incorporate the technologies they require.
For installers, bespoke cylinders not only overcome any space restrictions, but also, having the tapping connections in the positions they require, helps to reduce the installation time, freeing up time for other installations.

How long does it take to make a bespoke cylinder?
Once the specification has been discussed and agreed with a member of the technical team, the bespoke domestic cylinder or tank can be manufactured within 5 working days, and often quicker where it is a matter or urgency.
For commercial applications, with cylinders up to 3000 litres, we can still manufacture in as little as two weeks.
