McDonald Water Storage are able to manufacture the replacement alternative for old PulsaCoil appliances, irrespective of their age.
BACKGROUND
The original PulsaCoil hot water thermal store had failed, unfortunately causing damage to the resident’s retirement property in Sheffield and inconvenience to the resident herself. With the existing unit currently utilising two electrical connections, a solution that did not require a third electrical supply was preferable to keep installation time and costs down to a minimum.
SOLUTION
The installer, Dennis Sheeran, came to McDonald Water Storage for a replacement for the currently installed PulsaCoil thermal store. One of the main issues to overcome was sourcing a product that only required two electrical supplies as the current product. This would reduce the time required within the property, especially important during this COVID period.
We manufactured and supplied the MULTIflow Thermal Store unit which fit into the available space perfectly, allowing the existing pipework to be utilised which minimised the installation costs and provided a quick and easy solution.
Although other thermal stores are available on the market, many required additional pumps for the mains pressure hot water supply, but the design of the MULTIflow with the internal heat exchanger allows for mains pressure hot water with no requirement for a pump, meaning less components to potentially fail in the future.
TESTIMONIAL

With the added benefit of their great customer service from the team in Glenrothes, where nothing is too much trouble, we will definitely be providing the McDonald product for our future replacement option.”
