McDonald Water Storage has enabled Optivo Housing to avoid the disruption and additional costs of changing systems by designing, manufacturing and supplying an exact replacement for an existing Elson Amethyst system to fit within an extremely tight cupboard space.
BACKGROUND
Optivo Housing were looking to replace the existing Elson Amethyst tank. However as they were to be installed in extremely tight cupboard space they struggled to find like for like or suitable replacement, and alternative cylinder unit options were not feasible due to space restrictions.
SOLUTION
The site was surveyed by McDonald Water Storage team, and provided a full design showing connection layout and sizing. We manufactured and supplied a thermal store solution, CUBEflow Indirect Sealed System units to the exact design on the same machinery as original Elson Amethyst units had been manufactured on. The unit was perfectly sized to fit within tight space, allowing the installers to utilise the existing pipework which minimised the installation costs and provided a quick and easy installation.
The homeowners not only benefited from the minimal disruption during the replacement process, but also had reduced running costs through improvements in efficiency and heat losses.
