Our bespoke POWERflow provided the perfect solution for a busy medical centre looking to upgrade their hot water storage system.
BACKGROUND
When an initial temperature issue was identified by the facility teams at the building, which Aqualytix then went to survey, they identified that the the calorifiers which were currently being utilised were not fit for purpose and were causing issues across the site with temperature control, which meant they required replacements immediately.
SOLUTION
This particular size of cylinder could not be bought off the shelf through their normal supply chain, so they had to look for a bespoke design. This is where McDonald Water Storage came in and provided them a turnkey solution in terms of supply.
After discussing their specific requirements, they ordered two 700 Litre POWERflow Commercial Indirect Unvented Cylinders in Copper. Their overall size was 1850 x 870mm and comprised of DN20 Safety and PTRV valves set at 4.5bar, control and high limit thermostat, 2no. 3kW Immersion heaters, 2no. 100mm Temperature gauges, 1 pressure gauge, a DN25 Anti Vacuum valve, 100 litre expansion vessel, 15mm de-strat pump and timer. They were finished off with high heat retention insulation and removeable galvanised casing.
