The PLATEflow technology provided the solution for The Village Hotel & Fitness Club in Bracknell, when the existing units had failed leaving the facility without hot water. Working together with Commercial Maintenance Services UK Ltd in Gateshead, we were able to manufacture two replacement cylinders as a matter of urgency.
Our manufacturing team at McDonald Water Storage worked to tight time restrictions to ensure the two 300Litre copper PLATEflow units were ready as soon as possible. What made it even more complicated was that the Hotel had requested a particularly large plate heat exchanger, which was to be shared between both cylinders within the restricted space available. This proved to be quite a challenge, however, our technical team were able to offer the perfect solution, suggesting that the plate be wall mounted instead, allowing sufficient room for both the units to be installed.
Bearing in mind the bespoke nature of the products, space restriction and urgency for the customer, both units were manufactured within one working week and now meeting the hot water requirements of the hotel and leisure facility.
