A 750mm x 450mm cylinder was ordered, using our online service on a Sunday night, as it was required as early as possible in the week to complete an upgrade in a property where the homeowner was converting a linen cupboard into a shower unit. With the plumber booked, it allowed the homeowner to continue with other work on the project as opposed to sourcing the cylinder from the merchant on the Monday, then having a delay on delivery till late in the week, if not the following week.
Having the cylinder in stock, we were able to process the order on the Monday morning and arrange delivery for Tuesday.
Our online spares site came into its own too, with a plumber urgently looking for a replacement valve to complete a repair on a Friday so that the homeowner wasn’t left without hot water over the weekend. The plumber ordered and paid online for the component, whilst in the property, and as only 10 minutes away arranged to collect from our head office. In the time it took to get to the office, the component had been processed and ready for collection, allowing the hot water to be restored to the homeowner.
The plumber commented that ordering the valve was so simple, with just a few clicks, and felt it was great service being able to collect in such a short timescale.
