Despite the challenging trading conditions of the last 12 months, McDonald Water Storage have recently made major investments for the future. It is fantastic to see the industry recovery growing apace, with the scaling back of lockdown restrictions. As a company we feel the time is right for major investment and an upgrade of some of our key plant and machinery as part of our continual development of our company.
To meet the ever growing demand for our hot water cylinders and tanks, we have placed an order for an all electric AMADA punching machine with 45 tool stations and improved software and design. AMADA’s new AE NT series machine provides us the opportunity to take advantage of the many newer processing capabilities available in punching — along with the additional benefits of a machine that is both environmentally-friendly and costs significantly less to operate and maintain than some older technologies. It is a big investment, but we believe is really worthwhile and keeps the improvement and development of our manufacturing process to the fore.
In addition to the above, we have also placed an order for a new Addison 38 TNCB NC Tube Bender for our range of coils. This single axis single stack hydraulic bender will speed up the production process whilst still retaining the highest quality standards and help meet our customers’ requirements.
