McDonald Water Storage is supporting an initiative launched by the Hot Water Association warning consumers about the importance of servicing their unvented hot water cylinders and providing a 14 point guide on the areas they should be addressing.
As well as acting as a valuable education tool for consumers, McDonald Water Storage are urging installers to support the campaign and use it as an opportunity to create an additional revenue stream whilst protecting the safety of their clients.
The Hot Water Association 14 point checklist provides customers with the vital steps to ensure their cylinder continues to be safe and maintain the manufacturers’ warranty.
McDonald Water Storage’ Sales Director, David Stewart, explained, “Unvented cylinders are pressurised systems that must be maintained and serviced to ensure they continue to work at peak performance but most importantly, to make sure it’s safe.”
He continued, “We cannot stress enough the importance of having your unvented cylinder serviced on an annual basis, which is why we make it part of our warranty. I would urge all installers to support the campaign and use it as an opportunity to get in touch with clients to ensure their system is safe. Of course, there is also an opportunity to make some money as well.”
