When RSP Consultant Engineers were designing the plumbing and heating systems on this prestigious Passivhaus project, they required a hot water cylinder which was capable of meeting the requirements of the passive house planning project. They approached us at McDonald Water Storage and we designed and manufactured the custom-made POWERflow unvented cylinders to their exact requirements.
The brand new sustainable living housing development Dundashill worked alongside construction and manufacturing company CCG (Scotland) Ltd to find the perfect solution in the form of our POWERflow system.
They ordered a mixture of 150 & 180 litre bespoke POWERflow units which comprised of 22mm PRV’s, inline check valves, 15mm relief valves, 3Kw unvented immersion heaters and 12 litre expansion vessels. They were also manufactured with 100mm of insulation to meet their heat loss requirements.
