When it was time for Tregenna Castle to update their hot water system from their existing CHWS ProStor Vessels, we provided them with four bespoke 750L Buffer Vessels to meet the requirements of the entire site.
The tanks supplied each measured 2000mm x 750mm, designed for a maximum working pressure of 7 bar and incorporating 6kW 19” heavy duty immersion heaters. They were all insulated with 100mm lagging and included PVC jackets to reduce the heat loss.
The tanks were designed by our technical team, in conjunction with the installer and merchant PJD Martin to meet the customers specifications, with the connection heights.
Steeped in history, this prestigious castle located in St Ives, Cornwall was originally built in 1774 for a wealthy Cornishman with a love for the sea. In 1895 the original house was extended to include functions rooms, a restaurant, adjoining kitchens and a main reception area and was established as a hotel.
Over the years the hotel saw further developments and it is now a fully-fledged Holiday Resort & Hotel. It has welcomed many famous faces including Prince Phillip, David Attenborough, Dame Judi Dench , Joanna Lumley, Bear Grylls, Aiden Turner, Anthony Joshua and even Joe Biden and Boris Johnson when the Hotel was transformed for exclusive use to hold the G7 Summit in 2021.
We were thrilled to offer this prestigious venue a hot water storage solution to suit their specific requirements.
