Imagine the situation, it is Friday afternoon and the contractor is installing a new hot water cylinder into a property, but at the same time, the Met Office issued a rare red weather warning for coastal areas in the northeast of the UK, with Storm Arwen forecast to bring high winds and disruption for much of the UK. Having brought the new cylinder into position, it was found that it would not fit into the space available, meaning the prospect of the elderly resident being left without hot water over the weekend.
With merchants unable to supply the slimline cylinder until after the weekend, an urgent call was made to our head office to ascertain the availability of a slimline STEELflow unvented cylinder. Having an extensive range held in stock, the installer was able to collect the required cylinder from Glenrothes within the hour, allowing enough time to install the unit at the property before the storm rolled in.
In a weekend of extreme weather, it was comforting to know the homeowner wasn’t without their hot water.
