Working in partnership with Alto Energy, the MCS umbrella scheme is designed to enable you to provide your customers with a fully MCS accredited installation, without all the hassle of maintaining the accreditation and compiling all of the paperwork yourself.
We carry out all of the MCS design work, we specify and supply the heat pump equipment that you need, and one of our regionally-based engineers will inspect and commission the installation once you’ve completed it.
We then issue certificates for the end user, which they will need to claim any Government grants that they might be eligible for.
The Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme offers financial support to homeowners in Scotland to install eco-friendly heating systems and improve energy efficiency. This support can come as a grant, an interest-free loan, or a combination of both.
Homeowners can receive a grant of up to £7,500 to install clean heating solutions, such as heat pumps. Additionally, an optional interest-free loan of up to £7,500 is available, providing a total potential funding of £15,000. For measures like insulation, the scheme covers up to 75% of the total cost through a grant, capped at £7,500. The remaining cost can be financed with an optional interest-free loan, up to the maximum funding limit per improvement.
Homes in remote, rural, or island areas, as well as those in off-gas accessible rural locations, qualify for an extra £1,500 grant for both clean heating and energy efficiency improvements. This increases the maximum grant funding available for rural households to £18,000.
Who is Eligible?
To be eligible for the Home Energy Scotland Grant and Loan Scheme, you must be the homeowner of an existing property in Scotland. The property must be your primary or sole private residence.
Receiving benefits is not a requirement to qualify for this scheme.
