McDonald Central Plant

With many technical challenges surrounding central plant boiler sizing, diversity requirements and pipework infrastructure, there significant benefits which localised thermal storage can provide.

Having localised storage means that the boiler and pipework infrastructure can be reduced in size, and improving the efficiency of the system. A thermal store which is specially designed for central plant applications, will incorporate an immersion heater to heat the complete store, enabling the central plant system to be turned off in summer months when heating is not required or for routine maintenance.

CENTRALflow heat interface unit provides a unique and energy efficient heating and hot water storage solution for apartment blocks or properties where the heat comes from a centralised source such as a biomass or CHP Plant.

CENTRALflow delivers mains pressure hot water through a thermal store linked to a Heat Interface Unit (HIU) which can also offer a Heat Metering facility.
