It was fantastic to support local hotel The Gilvenbank and supply them with two bespoke calorifiers to provide the solution for their requirements.
BACKGROUND
Due to popular demand, The Gilvenbank Hotel which is part of Kingdom Taverns Ltd were upgrading their facilities and adding an additional nineteen rooms to the hotels capacity. Adding these extra rooms meant that the requirement for hot water and heating was going to be even more demanding than before and to keep up with the expectations from their customers, it was decided that they also needed to upgrade their hot water system.
SOLUTION
Over a discussion on the phone, we went through best options to deliver the highest performance with the hotel owner. It was discovered that due to an issue with their mains water, the units were going to have to be tank fed. With this is mind, they were advised to go for two bespoke designed 700 Litre Calorifiers which would be built to mains pressure specification, in case things were to change in the future.
The Calorifier tanks that we manufacture are designed to the exact requirements of each project to meet the demands of the commercial water heater requirements and the available space to optimise the capacity and dimensions. They are also designed to help minimise the installation time and costs by positioning the connections to the most convenient location to reduce piping requirements.
The bespoke calorifiers comprising of 1″ Anti Vacuum Valves, 2no 9kW WR Type Immersion Heaters, 100mm dial temperature & pressure gauges were manufactured and turned around in an impressive timescale of just one week. They were also foam lagged with 50mm of Polyutherane to make a significant contribution to improving efficiency.
