Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Continuing Professional Development, or CPD as more commonly known, are learning activities professionals engage in to develop and enhance their abilities.
CPD is an ongoing process of frequently improving skills and competencies to encourage looking forward and identifying opportunities to learn something new, refresh existing knowledge, improve skills, or simply keep up-to-date with the latest developments within a particular profession or industry.
At McDonald Water Storage, we believe hot water cylinders are an extremely important part of a project, whether it is new build or retrofit. On this basis, we felt strongly that we wanted to ensure the correct information was provided on the wide options available to the specifier and installer.
It is therefore fantastic to be able to advise we have CPD accreditations for two courses, Domestic Hot Water Storage and Commercial Hot Water Storage.
Domestic Hot Water Storage CPD
The domestic presentation highlights the different cylinder ranges that specifiers and installers may come across when assessing their projects.
It will identify the cylinder application, whether it is a vented cylinder, unvented cylinder or thermal store solution.
We explain the unique benefits of hot water storage, whether it is for an apartment or house, to provide hot water or a combination of heating and hot water, or utilising renewable or traditional heat sources.
Commercial Hot Water Storage CPD
The commercial presentation provides an introduction to the variants of commercial hot water storage.
It will explain about the different products and materials used, and provide in depth, details of HTM04 specification for NHS cylinders.
The cylinder design and specification on a commercial project is a extremely important, whether it is new build or retrofit. With our wealth of experience in this market, designing and manufacturing commercial solutions up to 100,000 litres, we wanted to pass on this knowledge to help both specifiers and contractors alike ensure the commercial solution was the correct one.
Engaging in CPD presentations ensures that both academic and practical qualifications do not become outdated or obsolete and allows for individuals to continually ‘up skill’ or ‘re-skill’ themselves regardless of their occupation, age or educational level.
Our courses can be delivered online or in person, with certification provided to all attendees.
