When it was time for William Grants Distillery to replace their existing Hoval Ultrastore Copper Buffer Vessel at their Scottish operations site, McDonald Water Storage were able to provide the perfect replacement.
The 1200L Copper Buffer Vessel that was designed in conjunction with the installer, measured 2100mm x 1020mm and incorporated 6kW immersion heaters, a 200 litre expansion vessel, 2 temperature gauges and one pressure gauge. In addition, it was insulated with rockwool insulation which is encased in a removeable galvanised casing with locking catches.
As we already know, copper provides a range of fantastic properties including an extremely long lifespan, with its thermal conductivity greater than that of other materials, meaning it is more efficient and costs less to run which is extremely important especially in this current economic climate. Copper also provides a 100% recyclable solution, which means it’s the most environmentally friendly material on the market.
